Twin Peaks Classical Academy offers top-notch academics to K-12 grade students, all tuition-free. But that’s only the beginning of what makes us different from other schools. Twin Peaks students are engaged learners who are encouraged to explore new ideas and interests. And we understand that learning doesn’t stop at academics - our athletics programs are great opportunities for growth! Go Timberwolves!
It’s a Fundamental Part of Learning
“The experience of participating in sports is actually unparalleled in my opinion. The lessons learned, the sense of belonging to something, the unified pursuit of a common goal, and the friendships that we build are unlike anything else in the high school experience. It is a one of a kind thing, and just hard to verbalize what it means to be on a team, wear your school colors, and really show pride in your school and your ability.”
(Twin Peaks’ Assistant Principal & Athletic Director Cameron Wright)
Lots of Options
Our middle and high school athletic programs have lots of offerings throughout the year. Here’s what’s currently available:
Twin Peaks Middle School
Girls Volleyball, Boys and Girls Basketball, Cross Country, Track and Field. Middle school teams participate in the city league for Coed Soccer as a Twin Peaks team.
Twin Peaks High School
Boys and Girls Soccer, Basketball, Track and Field, and Cross Country, and Girls Volleyball. High school teams compete against other schools at a class 2A level - in the Foothills League. We are also a certified member of the Colorado High School Activities Association, which oversees high school sports competitions in our state.
Middle School Sports: Participation Over Competition
Twin Peaks Classical Academy’s small school environment really sets us apart from bigger schools. Our Middle School athletics program welcomes all interested athletes - regardless of experience level. That means that every student can explore new interests and try a new sport, without the pressure of tryouts. They are guaranteed a spot and will be introduced to the rules and strategies of the sport by welcoming coaches. At the end of the season, they’ll walk away with new friends, new skills, and the confidence to continue pursuing the sport or explore other interests.
High School Sports: Achievement & Spirit
Twin Peaks High School sports teams are selected through a tryout process. Many of our teams compete at a high level, qualifying for state competitions, and inspiring a lot of school spirit. This year we just crowned our first ever individual state champion in the boys high jump!
Students practice after school, with access to exceptional on-campus facilities. Our teams are busy over the summer with open gyms, camps, summer leagues and tournaments. We host three athletic banquets each year to honor and celebrate our Fall, Winter and Spring athletes. And our parents get involved too! They volunteer through the Twin Peaks booster club, helping out with concessions, driving and - of course - cheering on our athletes.
