Dear Twin Peaks Classical Academy community,

What another amazing year at Twin Peaks Classical Academy! As the school year has come to a close, I wanted to thank all of you for the opportunity to lead this school.  I feel incredibly fortunate to have found a community in which I feel I truly belong.  My husband and I are eternally grateful that our children are able to attend such an amazing school and have so many wonderful people in their lives.

As we begin to transition to the 2026-2027 school year, I thought I would take a moment to highlight some of the accomplishments this school year and bring attention to some summer projects you will notice in the fall when you return!

Academic Highlights

  • We had 75 students complete 132 AP exams this spring- a new school record!

  • Our iReady data indicates that our students performing at or above grade level in math increased from 27% to 63%.

  • iReady data also indicates that our students performing at or above grade level in reading increased from 46% to 68%.

Financial Highlights

  • We worked on and acquired grant and donation dollars in excess of $150,000.

  • Due to wise fiscal management, we were able to accomplish the roof resurfacing project, exterior paint, new signage, and the fencing project in the South parking lot without withdrawing any dollars from reserves.

Athletic and Activities Highlights

  • Our high school programs reached the Colorado State competitions in Men’s Basketball, Track and Field, Cross Country, Choir, Band, and Orchestra.

  • Timberwolf Thursdays drastically increased the number of extracurricular activities and opportunities for our elementary students.

  • We hosted our first ever state playoff game for our Men's basketball team in our facility requiring finding additional bleachers to accommodate the crowd.

  • Our spring musical had a record number of student participants and record breaking attendance.

Community Highlights

  • We have hosted over 250 new families for tours since the beginning of the year.

  • Our school has been represented at more community events than ever before.

  • We accomplished a school evacuation and student reunification with no major hiccups.

  • Our incoming senior class is boasting 50 students! Our largest graduating class ever!

This summer, we are updating the exterior of the building.  You will notice the fresh paint and the new signage, but you may not notice the biggest project- the new roof! The west side of the roof is being resurfaced and is much needed. Hopefully, we will have no more leaks or floods!

Next year, I plan to bring back coffee with the director on a regularly occurring basis and to continue to strive to increase events that create more opportunities for human connection and community involvement.

This has been a wonderful year and we are grateful that you chose to be a part of Twin Peaks Classical Academy.  We look forward to seeing you at some of our summer events and especially at our Popsicles with the Principals on June 25th at 5PM! Be on the lookout for our summer communications regarding back-to-school events- including some brand new ones!

Go Timberwolves,

Ms. Burns
