Twin Peaks Classical Academy is a tuition-free charter school that teaches students from PK through 12th grade. We are committed to inspiring students through Classical Education. But we also recognize and respect our students’ first teachers: their parents.
What does that mean for Twin Peaks families? They come first!
Families First as Teachers
You may have heard the saying “the parent is the child’s first teacher”. At Twin Peaks, we recognize that parents are vital to every child’s learning experience. From creating a home environment that values learning; to listening and respecting children’s opinions; to modeling the principles of the Six Pillars of Character - families create a foundation for every child’s education.
Families First as Partners
Twin Peaks teachers and staff work alongside parents to support our students' learning. Our small-school setting enables us to know every student - and their families - by name. We’ll reach out to parents to coordinate free after-school tutoring or other support if we see their child struggling with a subject. For students who could benefit from enrichment, we’ll work with parents to identify opportunities to extend learning inside and outside of the classroom.
Families First as Predictors
Did you know that family engagement is an excellent predictor of student success? Students whose parents are involved in their learning have better attendance and behavior, get better grades, and develop better social skills. At Twin Peaks there are many ways families can get involved - from joining our active PTO to chaperoning a field trip, serving as a reading buddy, attending teacher conferences, and more.
Parents and caregivers are valued at Twin Peaks. Our close-knit community of teachers, staff and families know each other and partner together to ensure student success. Contact us and enroll in our tuition-free charter school today!
