Can you say crushing it?!!!! Our standardized data showed that one area for us to focus on is grounding our reasoning in evidence from multiple sources. Our 7th grade English teachers are already integrating the reading of informational text alongside their reading of "The Call of the Wild." Parents--we have many used copies of our English novels. If you are interested in reading along with your child, reach out to me! I'd much rather have the books in someone's hands rather than collecting dust on the shelf.

Timberwolf Families, fundraising for PTO's annual Timberwolf Trot has begun! Info packets came home in Thursday Folders last week, so please make sure to check them out. Students can fundraise now through September 25th and will earn prizes based on the amount of money they raise, both individually and as a class/house. The Trot (fun run) will take place on September 18th and there will be more info to follow about that, including the run schedule, what to wear and other important details. Be sure to follow the PTO on social media for more info and if you'd like to volunteer, please reach out! Our fundraising goal this year is $58,000. That’s a BIG goal, Timberwolves, but we know what this pack can do. Let’s get after it!

Notes from AD Wright -

Gold Crown Basketball Tryouts for the upcoming season are set for September 15th, 5:00 PM in the Auxiliary Gym. The current teams participating for this year are 4th grade boys and 6th grade girls. Tryouts are open to those grade levels. If you have a student who is looking to play up a grade, they are also welcome to come and try out. These teams are put together for Twin Peaks Classical Academy students, but are not school affiliated teams. These teams are for those student athletes looking for a more competitive program than our middle school intramural program. If you have any questions prior to tryouts, please reach out to the appropriate coach. 6th Grade Girls Head Coach is Cameron Wright (wright_cameron@svvsd.org) 4th Grade Boys Head Coach is Jason Blaszczyk blaszczyk_jay@outlook.com) If you are interested in starting another grade level and willing to coach, please reach out to Coach Wright with any questions.
