From the City of Longmont, Boston Ave Bridge Project Closures: The first phase of construction on the south half of the Boston Avenue Bridge over St. Vrain Creek is complete. The next phase will reconstruct the north half of the bridge. This is a heads up that South Francis Street from River Road to Boston Avenue will be closed from Friday, April 12 through Tuesday, April 16. Parents will need to use Nelson Road to access South Francis Street from the south. Additionally, Boston Avenue from South Sunset Street to Bowen Street will be closed overnight on Friday, April 12 and reopen by 6:30 am on Saturday, April 13. On Tuesday, April 16, the current two-way traffic pattern on the north side of the bridge will be shifted to the reconstructed south side of the bridge. The intersection at South Francis Street will be open at that time. Flaggers will direct traffic while the lanes are being shifted and delays should be expected. This temporary traffic pattern is expected to be in place until September. While two-way traffic will be maintained at most times during construction, temporary lane closures may sometimes reduce traffic to one lane to allow trucks and other equipment to enter and exit the construction area. These closures will most often occur between 8:30 am – 2:30 pm. However, delays should be expected at all times.

Lights, camera, learn! What better day to explore different types of light, then with the solar eclipse? Mrs. Ahrens’ kindergarten class explored black light, UV rays and plasma balls as they studied the unique relationship the sun has with the earth.

Today our students were able to witness the solar eclipse! What a great experience and the last chance to see an eclipse like this in Colorado until 2045! We seek Truth, Goodness, and Beauty in all we do at Twin Peaks and this was a remarkable display of the beauty in the world around us!
