Doors, Speed Bumps & the Boston Avenue Bridge Project. Student entry doors will open at 7:40 the first week of school, at 7:45 the second and third weeks of school and at 7:50 after Labor Day. Speed Bumps have been installed in the West Drop-off/Pick-up loop; drive accordingly please. The Boston Avenue Bridge will be closed the first day of school, on Tuesday the 13th. It is already a confusing day, and this will compound it, with only one way in and one way out via S. Francis to the Secondary lot. Please be patient. The good news though is it means the Boston Avenue Bridge project is ahead of schedule. I look forward to seeing many of you on Monday during our new family open house at 9:00am and returning families at 1:00pm. Joe Mehsling

Join us in welcoming Sarah Haan to the Preschool Team as an Instructional Assistant! You may recognize her as a parent and a regular TPCA substitute! Born and raised in Indiana, Sarah attended college in Michigan and Indiana, earning degrees in English, Business-CAS, and Nursing. She and her husband sought adventure and moved to Florida, where they enjoyed white sand beaches, manatees, and hurricanes (ha!) for the next decade. Their love of hiking eventually drew them to Colorado in 2021. After working as a Labor & Delivery RN for 10 years, Sarah left the medical field and joined the SVVSD in 2023 as a substitute teacher, where she discovered her love of preschool. She's thrilled to become an official part of the preschool team this year. Outside of school, Sarah loves to garden, hike, and explore Colorado with her husband and three young boys.

Welcome Sam Harris! We are excited to have her join our Elementary front office staff! Hi! I’m Sam and/or Sammi! I was born and raised in Colorado. I grew up on a mountain outside of Lyons, so I have a lot of love for the outdoors & nature! I hold high value to all the relationships in my life— family, friends, co-workers, mentors, etc. I have been working with, and around, kids since I was one myself. Something I love was watching them learn and grow. Paired with that love was an interest in what makes a person a human, so I explored that through higher education at Front Range Community College & CU Boulder and graduated with a double major in Psychology and Sociology!

Welcome, Dr. Fritz! We're thrilled to have her joining our Secondary English team! Hi, my name is Dr. Megan Fritz, and I’m excited to join the staff at Twin Peaks as an 8th grade English teacher. I’m originally from Arkansas, but moved to Colorado over fourteen years ago. I attended a classical school from sixth grade through twelfth grade, and I love the depth of knowledge found in classical literature. My husband and I chose Twin Peaks Classical Academy for our three children who have been students in the elementary for the last three years, and we love the curriculum, culture, and community of the school. I love teaching students of any age from homeschooling our three children through the pandemic to teaching at the college level at Colorado State University. I consider myself to be a lifelong student and I love sharing what I’ve learned with others. During my free time I enjoy gardening and learning a lot of life lessons from our collection of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, quail, and our recently added miniature goats. I’m looking forward to getting to know the middle school students and helping them hone their reading, writing and rhetoric skills.
